Meeting New People and First Impressions

When reading and listening to the information given to me about meeting new people and making a good first impression, I saw that there were many tips that one could always keep in their arsenal to remember in any situation or setting. For instance, smiling is important in any social interaction. Having enthusiasm is another major requirement for any occasion when meeting new people. When meeting new people it is also important to be professional and appropriate at all times, and especially when meeting your mentor. I hope to gain insight into the field that I see myself going into in the future and I also hope to learn a lot and experience what it is really like in the job setting and the everyday scenario. In order to ensure that I get the most from this experience, I plan to take advantage of my time and really try to work on making a schedule where I will have a good opportunity to learn things from my mentor. I feel that  this is preparing me for the future because going into the college atmosphere, I will have already had experience working in the field that I want to work in and I will be more prepared to handle things because I will have a better gripe on certain aspects of the job.
